I will dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
